Born in Gilmer County, GA; died at his residence , 2001 Brown's Mill Road, Atlanta, GA; buried at Jones Chapel Cemetery in Forest Park, GA.  The 1930 Census for Militia District 1644 in Clayton County, GA shows that he is a farmer, that he is renting, was 24 years old when married, and is able to read and write.  The 1940 Census states that he attended elementary school through the 5th grade and that he is widowed..

born in Whitfield County, GA; died at 996 Crew Street, S.W., Atlanta, GA; buried at Jones Chapel Cemetery in Forest Park, GA; in the 1920 Census for Clayton County, GA, her mother, Polly Jane Bramlett (b. 1855) was living with she and Joel David Swaney.
